Malinska on Krk is a local, independent travel guide to Malinska and the island of Krk in Croatia. We write practical articles for visitors: where to park, which beaches to choose, how to rent a boat with or without a license, where to eat and what to see around the island.
Who runs this site
My name is Jura Postrašija. I live in Zagreb, but Malinska has been my second home all my life: since I was born, I have spent around four months here every summer. My grandmother has lived in Malinska for more than 50 years, my mother grew up here, and my parents met here.
I have been out at sea on all kinds of small boats and larger boats since I was a child, and for the last four years I have worked as a speedboat skipper in Malinska. That is where most of the boating tips on this site come from.
That is why this guide is written from a local point of view. I write about the beaches, places and people I know from first-hand experience, not from a travel brochure.
