Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit malinskakrk.com, why it is collected and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect and why

Visit statistics

We use WP Statistics, which runs on our own server, to count visits and see which pages are popular. IP addresses are anonymised and hashed, so we cannot identify you. We also record the page you visit, the referring website, your browser and device type. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, your visit is not recorded. No data is shared with third parties for statistics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

We use only one cookie, pll_language, which remembers the language you selected (English or Croatian). It is strictly necessary for the site to work and is stored for one year. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Comments

If you leave a comment, we store your name, email address, website (optional), the comment text, your IP address and browser information. Comments are checked for spam by Akismet, a service of Automattic Inc. (USA). An anonymised string created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service (also Automattic) to show your profile picture. Comments are kept until you ask us to delete them. Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in preventing spam (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).

Contacting us

If you contact us by email or phone, we use your details only to answer your enquiry or arrange a boat rental or trip. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in responding to you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Server and error logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security reasons. Our redirect plugin records broken links and redirects (address, referring page and browser) without storing IP addresses. These logs are kept only for a limited time.

3. Who receives your data

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Data is processed only by our hosting provider and, for comments, by Automattic Inc. (Akismet and Gravatar). Transfers to the USA take place on the basis of appropriate safeguards under the GDPR.

4. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise your rights, email us at jpostrasija@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian supervisory authority: Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), azop.hr.
