Malinska has hotels, campsites and a wide choice of private apartments. In this guide, I explain which part of town suits you best and what to look out for when you book. I also share where we host guests ourselves.
Best Areas to Stay in Malinska
Town Centre and Rupa Beach
If you want to walk everywhere, stay close to the centre. The harbour, restaurants, shops and Rupa Beach are all a few minutes away on foot. However, this is also the busiest and most expensive area in summer, and parking is harder to find. If you come by car, check our guide to free parking in Malinska.
Quieter Streets Above the Centre
Just a few minutes uphill from the waterfront, the residential streets are much calmer at night. You can still walk down to the beach and the harbour, and street parking is often easier. The only downside is the walk back uphill.
Haludovo and Malin Beach
The north side of town is a good choice for beach lovers. From here, you can reach Malin Beach, Haludovo and the seaside promenade towards Rajska cesta in a short walk.
Villages of Dubašnica
The villages around Malinska, such as Porat and Sveti Vid-Miholjice, are quiet and surrounded by olive groves. Prices are often lower, but you will need a car to reach the beaches and restaurants.
Types of Accommodation
- Private apartments and holiday homes – the most common choice, with a kitchen and more space for families.
- Hotels – close to the beaches, with daily service.
- Campsites – among the pine trees by the sea, great for a relaxed outdoor holiday.
